Lecturer in Civil Law Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
Cédric Tuyau ("Ced") is a Lecturer in Civil Law at the University of Seychelles and the Open University of Mauritius. He is a former legal professional with a rich background in international contract drafting and is currently a doctoral candidate for a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree.
Ced holds a Bachelor of Laws, LL.B(Hons), and Master of Laws in International Business Law from Middlesex University. His proficiency in civil and common law jurisdiction, practical experience, and expertise in civil law are further enhanced by his fluency in English and French.
Ced has been acknowledged for his contributions to hybrid teaching techniques and was appointed the youngest Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in the UK in 2022.
He has actively contributed to developing hybrid learning courses in top-tier universities and has recently earned a postgraduate diploma in higher education (PGDipHE).
Ced is a proud advocate of hybrid and online legal education. He wants to encourage more individuals to embrace its benefits, thereby further elevating the sphere of flexible teaching and learning.
Ced has long contemplated a career shift and is former student at the International Dominican University. He is currently a seminarian at the University of Lorraine - CAEPR.
