Microsoft Teams serves as the primary collaboration tool and learning management system (LMS) in institutions across Seychelles and the United Kingdom. As a certified Microsoft Educator Trainer, prioritizing not only utilizing Teams for course delivery but also empowering students with essential skills in utilizing this platform, thereby enhancing their employability prospects through transferable competencies.
Zoom and Blackboard are integrated as alternative platforms for educational delivery, particularly in Mauritius. These platforms offer added flexibility and functionality, enabling the adaptation of teaching methods to suit diverse learning environments and preferences.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I have adapted my teaching practice by incorporating supplementary platforms such as Google Classroom and YouTube, particularly in institutions lacking existing LMS infrastructure. Leveraging these accessible and user-friendly tools ensured continuity in educational delivery, sustaining engagement and facilitating learning amidst disruptions.
Through strategic utilization of multiple platforms, the aim is to remain at the forefront of innovative teaching practices, enhancing the accessibility, effectiveness, and inclusivity of legal education across diverse contexts.
