Dr. Cédric Tuyau (Ced) is a Lecturer in Civil Law at the University of Seychelles and the Open University of Mauritius. Prior to entering academia, he worked as a legal professional with experience in international contract drafting. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons), a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Business Law from Middlesex University, and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of South Africa. His academic work focuses on civil and commercial law, drawing on experience across civil law and common law jurisdictions.
Dr. Tuyau is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has developed expertise in hybrid and technology-enhanced legal education. He has contributed to the development of hybrid learning courses and is currently undertaking a Master of Education, building on his Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDipEd). His continuing studies in information technology and related fields complement his interests in digital law and legal technology. Alongside his legal and academic work, he has pursued personal theological and philosophical studies, having previously studied at the International Dominican University and currently studying at the University of Lorraine (CAEPR).
