I have been involved in the development of both courses and modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Seychelles and Mauritius, with a primary focus on subjects within civil law. This work has included the design of full undergraduate courses as well as the development of specialised modules within postgraduate programmes.
The development of these courses and modules has involved preparing course structures, defining learning outcomes, and designing appropriate assessment frameworks. Particular attention has been given to ensuring that the curriculum reflects both the academic study of law and the practical application of legal principles.
These courses are designed using a hybrid learning approach, combining traditional classroom teaching with structured online learning components. This approach enables students to engage with course materials through both guided classroom instruction and independent study supported by digital resources.
In developing these courses and modules, emphasis is placed on the organisation of teaching materials, the integration of case law and legislative analysis, and the design of assessments that encourage critical engagement with legal principles. Course materials typically include lecture notes, guided readings, case-based discussions, and structured learning resources intended to support both classroom learning and independent study.
In addition, the modules incorporate self-assessment components that allow students to evaluate their understanding of key concepts and monitor their academic progress throughout the semester, encouraging a more active and reflective approach to learning.

In addition to academic teaching, I undertake professional research relating to legal frameworks, regulatory environments, and institutional governance. This work involves applied legal analysis and the examination of regulatory systems that shape commercial activity and legal practice.
As part of this professional engagement, I have served as an expert contributor to research initiatives connected with the World Bank Group’s Ease of Doing Business project. This work involved analysing legal and regulatory frameworks affecting the business environment, including the legal procedures and institutional mechanisms that influence the ease of conducting commercial activity within a jurisdiction.
I have also been involved in similar research activities examining legal and regulatory developments in areas relevant to civil and commercial law. Such work typically involves the analysis of legislation, regulatory procedures, and institutional practices in order to assess how legal systems facilitate or affect economic and commercial activity.
Through these professional research engagements, my work contributes to the evaluation and understanding of legal and regulatory systems within the broader context of economic development and governance.
